Colorado Special Investigations provides locate services, commonly called "skip tracing." We assist clients in locating people for a number of reasons:

• Are you searching for a debtor or deadbeat?
• Are you searching for potential witnesses?
• Are you searching for a friend who has been out of touch for years?
• Looking to catch up on ol’ times but lost that phone number of that special friend of yours?
• Need to serve a subpoena?
• Are you searching for lost loved ones?

Skip tracing success can be based on a number of factors:

• You are attempting to locate a friend who you just lost touch with for a little while.
• You are attempting in locating a person who is intentionally hiding from people and keeping it a secret from family members.
• The shorter the time the person has been out of touch, the easier it may be to locate that person
• Or, it could be much easier to locate a person of interest as time passes as they settle in their new location; at times it may all depend on luck of the draw.

Helpful Information We Would Like In Order to Initiate a Skip- Trace

When performing a skip trace, it is helpful to have all known information on the person including:

• Full name
• DOB
• SSN
• Last known address(es)
• Acquaintances
• Phone numbers
• Aliases
• Work history

The minimum information we need is a name. However, the more information you can provide us, the less time it may take us to successfully locate an individual and it can save you money. We at Colorado Special Investigations provide a hard copy report with the results of our skip trace upon your request. All skip-tracing requests are initially assessed a non-refundable retainer fee.

If the locate/skip-tracing investigation will require additional time or resources, the client will receive advance notice prior to continuing the investigation. We will not continue the investigation without your prior approval. A skip trace can be very time consuming. Not all people we are searching for can be successfully located. We do not claim to have been successful at locating 100% of all our skip-traced names. What we do guarantee is to diligently work hard and smart utilizing all of our abilities as skip tracing specialists for every client that employs us. We use many different methods in locating people that are feasibly accurate as the information passes from private or government agency to another.
